Bong had a strong impression on a robot
he met during a trip to Switzerland in the past.
'Sasum_ID230316BC' was completed by
mixing the concept of 'muscular deer' with
the robot in his memory.
In fact, he added the concept of ten longevity for
his father-in-law, who was recovering from
brain surgery at the time.
'Sasum' was a guard machine made
in case Caro was alone in the workshop.
Bong, who wanted to avoid a fight if possible,
made it into a rugged silhouette with horns.
It was finally adjusted to be close fighting,
but it used hand parts, not fist parts for fighting,
to allow weapons to be used.
'Sasum' was built based on the frame of
the guard robot that was previously supplied
to the Locus.
(For reference, among the products produced
by icarusdreams, the guard robot, which was
particularly well received by clients, was later
used as the basis for several products.)
'Sasum' is one of the Korean dialects of deer.
Bong은 과거 스위스 여행 중에 만난
한 로봇에서 강렬한 인상을 받은 적이 있었는데
그 기억 속의 로봇에 '근육 사슴'라는 컨셉을 섞어서
마무리한 것이 'Sasum_ID230316BC'이다.
사실 당시 뇌수술을 받고 회복 중이던 장인 어른을 위해
'십장생' 컨셉을 추가했다.
Caro가 혼자 공방에 있을 때를 대비해서 만들어진
호위, 경비용 머신으로 가능하면 싸움을 피하고 싶었던
Bong은 뿔 달린 우락부락한 실루엣으로 만들었다.
문지기 머신으로 제작되면서 격투 전용에 가깝게
최종 조정되었으나 무기를 사용할 수 있도록
격투용 주먹 부품이 아닌 손 부품을 사용했다.
기초 골격은 로커스에 납품했었던
경비용 로봇의 프레임을 참고로 제작했다.
참고로 icarusdreams가 제작했던 제품 중에서도 특히
클라이언트의 반응이 좋았던 경비용 로봇은
이후에 여러 제품의 기초로 사용되었다.
그리고
'Sasum'은 사슴의 한국 방언중 하나이다.
